We investigate amenability and weak amenability of the l1-algebra of polynomial hypergroups. We derive conditions for (weak) amenability adapted to polynomial hypergroups and show that these conditions are often not satisfied. However, for the hypergroup induced by Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind we prove amenability.

In this paper using strongly duplexes we introduce a new class of (semi)hypergroups. The associated (semi)hypergroup from a strongly duplex is called duplex (semi)hypergroup. Two computer programs written in MATLAB show that the two groups Z2n and Zn × Z2 produce a strongly duplex and its associated hypergroup is a complementary feasible hypergroup.

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of (Γ, n)semihypergroups as a generalization of hypergroups, as a generalization of nary hypergroups and obtain an exact covariant functor between the category (Γ, n)-semihypergrous and the category semigroups.
